The International Students’ Desk of the University of Patras provides holistic assistance to international students, scholars and researchers offering support both before and after their arrival.
Our mission is to create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment that helps international students feel confident, informed, and connected.

How we can help

Desk Support Services

  • Support and coordination with Greek Embassies worldwide for non-EU students, making the visa process easier and more efficient.
  • Step-by-step guidance for all essential administrative procedures and referral to the appropriate public services for the acquisition of residence permit, Tax Identification Number (AFM), Social Security Number (AMKA), phone number, bank account, and academic ID card.

University Support Services

  • Guidance with enrollment procedures by the Admissions Office.

  • Referral to the Language and Culture Centre for Greek language courses.

  • Organization of integration and inclusion activities, such as welcome events and cultural initiatives.
  • Accommodation and housing support provided by the Directorate of Students’ Care.
  • Academic support offered by assigned faculty members.
  • Psychological and social support provided through the University’s Counseling Support Center.
